On Sunday I raced the Skechers Multisport Canada Bracebridge Olympic Triathlon. It was the 4th race in the series. I finished 2nd behind Chris Van De Water. I was relatively happy with my race, the course was more challenging than I expected. It’s time for me to put my feet up and get ready for Ironman Mont Tremblant next weekend.
I raced the Skechers Multisport Canada Kingston Long Course Triathlon on Sunday. I wasn’t sure what to expect out of my legs, I’ve never got back into racing so quickly after an Ironman, and I was relatively happy with how I did. The swim was choppy and really exposed the need for me to do more work on my stroke in those conditions. Out on the bike and the run I had highs and lows when my legs felt great and then completely lousy. In the end I finished a distant third behind Alex Vanderlinden and Ben Rudson. Up next is the Bracebridge Olympic Triathlon next weekend.
One week post Ironman Lake Placid, recovery is the name of the game. I’m doing my best to walk the fine line of recovering fast with rest, light exercise, and massage. I have a busy 3 weekends of racing ahead with the Skechers Multisport Canada Kingston Long Course & Bracebridge Olympic over the next 2 weekends, before Ironman Mont Tremblant in 3 weeks time.
